The Petronas Towers are known as the Petronas Twin Towers. In Malay is Menara Berkembar Petronas or Merana Petronas. According to the Council on Tall Buildings and Urban Habitat (CTBUH)'s official ranking, Petronas Twin Towers were the tallest building in the world from 1998 until 2004. Now there are few building has beaten Petronas Twin Towers as the world tallest building.
